Services

Right now, I am seeing most patients by telemedicine. You must be located in New Jersey or New York at the time of your appointment. I am able to see patients in person, depending on circumstance, in my Union County, NJ office.

90 Minute Initial Evaluation

During this initial consultation, I will get to know you and understand your treatment goals. We will discuss your past medical and psychiatric history, as well as important life events you have experienced. As part of this appointment, we will discuss treatment options, and I will answer any questions you may have.

An initial consultation may be a one-time meeting if you are seeking a second opinion, or it may signal the start of our relationship working together.

For children younger than 12, I offer a multi-part evaluation that may take place over a series of days. Please call to discuss further.

Follow Up Appointments

During a follow up appointment, we will check in on your treatment goals and discuss medications, labs, and/or imaging.

While most follow up appointments will be 30 minutes, there may be times when you have new concerns and we will need to schedule a longer follow up appointment.

Most patients have follow up appointments about once a month while we are getting to know each other. As you start to feel better and become more stable in your treatment, we will be able to schedule appointments with less frequency if you so choose. Please note that for patients receiving controlled substances, I will need to see you at least once every 90 days, or approximately four times per year.

  • 30 minute follow up-$250

  • 45 minute follow up-$375

  • 60 minute follow up-$500

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a long-term therapy that helps people understand how their past experiences connect to their current behaviors and feelings.

Adults in psychotherapy should commit to weekly 45 minute appointments, although in some cases, patients may choose to schedule appointments twice a week.

Telephone Consultation

I believe that the best psychiatrist for you is the one with whom you feel most comfortable. Please call or email to schedule a complimentary 10 minute phone conversation. During this conversation, I will begin to learn about you or your child’s needs, and you can decide if you would like to schedule an initial evaluation. I grew up and completed residency in Union County. Even if we decide not to work together, I have an extensive network of colleagues in this area and throughout the tristate area and may be able to help you find a provider to fit your needs.

If you do decide to proceed with the initial evaluation, I will email you new patient paperwork. This paperwork must be completed and returned prior to our first appointment.

Please note that I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not participate with any insurance companies. This allows me to provide the highest level of care that is individualized for your needs. I can provide you with an invoice that you may submit to your insurance company. I cannot guarantee reimbursement by your insurance company, but with out-of-network benefits, many patients end up paying little more than they would for an in-network provider. Also note that I do not provide written reports, do psychological testing, or participate in custody or forensic evaluations.
